Food safety at the heart of the subject
The seminar entitled “How to achieve 100% food safety” took place on July 27th 2023 at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra and gathered many professionals from the hospitality industry in Cambodia.
The event covered topics such as Cambodia’s food safety law and the roles and responsibilities of food companies.
Newrest Cambodia, a major and recognised actor in the sector, was invited as a speaker at this seminar.
Newrest Cambodia’s Deputy QHSE Director, Mr Rathana Hean, gave a presentation explaining the procedures to be used to guarantee food quality in accordance with international standards, thanks to Newrest’s Integrated Management System. This system enables risks to be assessed at every stage of the production process, from suppliers to service. Indeed, it is partly thanks to this tool that the group can guarantee its customers complete food safety and quality.
Mr Rathana Hean also presented the requirements for certification, from basic to global standards, and provided additional knowledge on food safety, allergens and radiation.
Congratulations to the entire QHSE team from Newrest Cambodia who contributed to this presentation!
