Europe
The Newrest Headquarters in Spain has received the Certification under the ISO 14001:2015 standards of Environmental Management, and the ISO 45001:2018 Standard for Occupational Health and Safety Management.
The Certification of these two systems is within the context of the Group’s new strategy (Kalamata, March 2019) that places sustainable development and health and safety promotion at the center of our initiatives, and the certification of our systems Management as a tool for continuous improvement.
The implementation of an Environmental Management System according to ISO 14001 offers us the possibility of systematizing, in a simple way, the environmental aspects that are generated in the activities carried out in the Central Office, optimizing the management of resources and waste, and reducing negative environmental impacts, or those risks associated with accidental situations. In addition to promoting environmental protection and pollution prevention from a balance point of view with socio-economic aspects.
The implementation of a Occupational Health and Safety Management System according to ISO 45001 allows us to improve performance in Occupational Health and Safety, creating a safe and healthy workplace for employees and for any person who accesses our Work Center. Among the benefits provided by the implementation of the system is to motivate and engage workers through consultation and participation. Obtain a continuous improvement of working conditions, and facilitate relations with suppliers, customers and collaborators both national and international.
These two certifications add to the certifications we already had, ISO 9001: 2015 of the quality management system, and ISO 22000: 2005 of the management system for food safety.
