Launch of « I Care by Newrest » during the biennially QHSE seminar

This seminar should have occurred in 2020, before the pandemic. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19, these kinds of events were postponed, cancelled or were online. Usually, QHSE teams have a seminar every other year where several topics are covered: review of the group strategy, update & training on group tools, update on new procedures/documents, training of the teams, etc. So, this was with a lot of emotions and pleasure that the teams could meet again (in total almost 70 leaders from 50+ countries), 2 weeks ago in Toulouse, nearby the headquarters.

“I Care by Newrest”, what does it mean?

Beside meeting face to face, the seminar was the occasion to launch officially the “I Care by Newrest” program. It means to support operations and teams across the world to ensure that Newrest’s quality, food safety, health, safety, security & environment policies / expectations are applied & validated on a consistent basis.

As part of the launch several pilot countries have presented the work they achieved with different initiatives. This program is at the heart of the group strategy to achieve targets defined for 2025 in terms of QHSE culture maturity level, ISO certification & digitalization.

A journey full of surprises

In addition to several presentations, trainings & workshops (with internal & external speakers), an award ceremony was organized to reward the work of several countries. The countries awarded had the privilege to receive an I Care statuette directly from Olivier Sadran (Newrest co-CEO).

The I Care seminar has been a real success, with a lot of smiles, knowledge shared, contacts and great memories created. And of course, a common clear understanding of the group strategy was expressed, which will now be deployed worldwide by its I Care Champions!
