Newrest, the largest ‘independent’ airline caterer world-wide, has contributed with other members of the International Flight Services Association (IFSA) and the Airline Catering Association (ACA) to set COVID-19 guidelines. They come as a response to the global pandemic and support the aviation and inflight catering industries restart worldwide.

This collective approach complements Newrest’s initiative carried out at the beginning of the sanitary crisis. In fact, Newrest created its own safety and hygiene label called “SAFE by Newrest”. Its aim is to give additional assurance to employees, customers and consumers that all necessary measures have been taken to deliver a safe catering service.

Today 200 Newrest sites have obtained this certification and among them 20 Catering Production Unit (CPU).

Following the statement of IFSA and ACA, Newrest’s Quality, Hygiene, Safety and Environment internal audits have been strengthened with those additional guidelines.
