Newrest launches a contest to celebrate International Food Safety Day

This June 07, 2023, Newrest took part in the 5th edition of the International Food Safety Day proposed by the WHO (World Health Organization) and the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations).

Since 2020, the group has introduced non-negotiables related to food safety. These include 8 rules aimed at guaranteeing food that is safe for consumers and conforms to food standards.

“Food safety standards save lives”

For this special day, several countries in which Newrest operates have created specific events at production sites under the theme of “Food Safety Standards Save Lives”.

Playful training sessions were organized in several units, such as hand washing with paint while blindfolded, board games linked to “Food safety” (cluedo theme), testimonial videos and communication campaigns on food safety. All this was accompanied by music and smiles.

Newrest is proud of the initiatives proposed by its teams and congratulates all its employees for their commitment and participation. To congratulate them, the Group awarded prizes to the winners of the International Food Safety Day. Well done to them!
