The One Team Unlimited Challenge 2023-2024 season has begun!

A reminder! What is the One Team Unlimited Challenge?

The aim of these internal challenges is to unite the Group’s different units around the values of sport and corporate cohesion, such as surpassing oneself, team spirit and determination.

The Group is also keen to highlight its CSR commitments, while promoting the diversity of its different countries and cultures. This year, teams are encouraged to implement a CSR action as part of their challenge: cleaning up waste, donating to charities, etc.

Newrest ORY at the Oléron Triathlon for Pink October

The France inflight unit has set itself the challenge of taking part in the Oléron triathlon on Sunday, October 8, 2023. At around 11 a.m., 5 collaborators from various departments – production, sales, management and quality – set off on this S-size triathlon, which challenges them to a 750m swim, a 20km bike ride and a 5km run. Registration fees for the race were donated to breast cancer research.

Newrest Bolivia goes on an adventure

22 collaborators in Bolivia decided to embark on a 2000-meter climb.

During the climb, they collected garbage on the road and brought equipment (blankets and a backpack with a basic kit) to the volunteer firemen of the town of Santiago de Chiquitos, who are constantly fighting forest fires in the region. To meet this challenge, they had to prepare themselves physically, by taking regular exercise, staying hydrated and eating properly.

The teams had a great time and were able to push themselves to the limit. They hope to repeat the challenge next year, pushing their limits even further.

Newrest South Africa takes part in a soccer tournament

The teams in South Africa took part in a soccer tournament on October 7, 2023 in Tembissa.

32 collaborators from 3 different units competed in teams of 4 in support of UBUHLE BEZWE CHILD CARE CENTER, a home for disadvantaged children.

Their challenge went well, as it was their first tournament, and the teams showed themselves to be up to the task and united.

Newrest Réunion walks for ODYSSEA

20 collaborators from our inflight and retail units in La Réunion took part on November 5, 2023 in a 5km walk organized by ODYSSEA to benefit breast cancer research.

This day was placed under the sign of volunteering, commitment to patients with a special thought for Claudine, a Newrest employee since 11/04/2018.

Newrest Spain takes part in Gran Canaria’s Binter Night Run

In Spain, teams took part in the 10th edition of the Binter Night Run de Gran Canaria, a solidarity, inclusive and sustainable race organized by one of our customers, BINTER.

The race raised funds for the Banco de Alimentos de Las Palmas organization, which has been distributing food to the most vulnerable families for over twenty years.

All collaborators took up the 5 km challenge, some more prepared than others, but they all enjoyed this beautiful event, flying the Newrest colors, and shared a convivial moment around a table with colleagues and relatives who came to support them.

The aim of these challenges is to promote the culture of sport, which is an integral part of Newrest’s DNA, and to share the values that drive the group: surpassing oneself, solidarity, team spirit and determination.

The group looks forward to discover the next challenges of teams around the world.
