Sustainable Development: Newrest New Caledonia continues its involvement!

On April 10th, the Newrest New Caledonia team took part in the REPAIR association’s regular general meeting: Professional Network for Innovative and Responsible Agriculture.

This association aims, on the one hand, to support local farmers in setting up the Responsible Agriculture label, and on the other hand to structure the distribution of local products.

Thus, the agricultural cooperative COOP 1 was created in May 2017 and allows today to pool the means of collection, storage, packaging, processing and marketing of local productions in order to offer them, among others, to restaurants such as Newrest New Caledonia.

As part of our partnership with the REPAIR network, we are integrating our sustainable development approach into the local economy, by participating, in particular, in the workshops dedicated to the “responsible agriculture” and “integrated agriculture” certifications.

Everyday, we communicate to our customers of the school segments on the origin of our supplies by affixing pictograms on the menus and by tutorials.
