Newrest’s teams in Salt Lake City awarded for their commitment to change

Newrest Salt Lake City is green with solutions. They are taking their corporate social responsibility seriously and are being recognized for it. On March 11th, the SLC team was presented with an achievement award from The Pro Recycling Group for their efforts in 2020.

The team managed to scrape together 55.5 TONS of recyclable materials throughout the year, roughly converting to 110,000lbs or, 50,000kgs. No small feat by any means. The team recycled everything from the usual cardboard, aluminum, and plastic. They also spent some time thinking outside the box and recycled the packaging stretch wrap surrounding vendors’ pallets and miscellaneous steel and steel racking that needed replacement.

Huge congratulations to the SLC team for their dedication to Newrest’s commitment to “Be the change” going green and helping reduce waste within our in-flight sector.
