Newrest shines in Mining Month 2024 in Chile!

In August, Chile celebrates one of its most important months: Mining Month, a period full of seminars, meetings and events that highlight one of the key industries for the country, representing 21% of GDP.

This year, with a focus on sustainability and innovation, mining is more committed than ever to driving economic growth in an inclusive and responsible manner.

For the first time, Newrest has had a prominent participation in four important events of the Mining Month 2024, positioning itself as a relevant player in the industry.

EXPONOR 2024: opening new doors for the future!

Held in Antofagasta, the biennial exhibition of EXPONOR has established itself as a key space to learn about the latest advances in the mining and energy sectors.

During the event, Newrest shared with companies and exhibitors, generating valuable business opportunities and consolidating national and international networks.

Newrest at the Mining Foundation dinner

The Mining Foundation of Chile is a non-profit institution whose mission is to educate, promote and disseminate knowledge about mining among citizens, contributing to a sustainable industry.

The recent dinner hosted by the Foundation brought together mining entrepreneurs and suppliers. They gathered to explore the opportunities and challenges facing the industry in the context of the growing demand for clean and sustainable technologies.

In an atmosphere of collaborative vision and sharing, the crucial role played by mining in the provision of essential raw materials for electromobility was highlighted. Electromobility is an expanding trend that promotes the use of electric vehicles and technologies related to renewable energies.

This event underscored the importance of mining in building a greener and more sustainable future.

Newrest attended the FEXMIN 2024

What is the FEXMIN? It is the Exploration and Mining Fair (Feria de Exploración y Minas in Spanish). The fair has established itself as a unique event in Chile, providing a platform for small miners to present their projects throughout the country.

This year, FEXMIN reached a new level by incorporating international proposals, which expanded its scope and allowed the exchange of ideas and opportunities with actors from other markets.

The event, which broke attendance records, reaffirms its importance as a strategic space for the promotion of small-scale mining and the exploration of new initiatives that enhance the development of the sector.

Mining month closing meeting

Organized by the director of the Mining Foundation in Chile, this last meeting closes the monthly event. Participants are active people from and in the mining industry of Chile.
