Newrest Madagascar progresses in its environmental approach

An initiative that meets the group’s CSR commitments.

Out of 8,500 meals served per day for the Ambatovy mining company, 2,000 are served in takeaway portions in biodegradable containers. The teams go even further in their environmental approach by replacing all plastic cutlery with 100% wooden cutlery.

Thanks to this initiative, more than 4 tons of plastic per year are replaced by a biodegradable product. This action comes only 3 months after the implementation of a biowaste composting system.

More than 31.2 tons of biowaste from our kitchens are now recycled to be integrated into our client’s industrial process.
