Newrest continues to expand its international activities

Toulouse, 26/01/23 – Newrest, the French catering specialist which generates 44% of its turnover in the airline catering sector, continues its international development strategy and announces the acquisition of 100% of EIH Flight Services Ltd, a subsidiary of EIH Limited (Oberoi) to provide its services from Mauritius.
“Since March 2020, we have maintained a sustained geographical expansion in line with our customers’ expectations: we have invested heavily in the USA, in Atlanta and Houston; we have opened new production units in Scandinavia, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland; we have won new licences in Morocco and built a unit in Durban. Our customers rely on our financial strength and agility to meet their strategic ambitions” said Olivier Sadran, Co-Chairman and Founder of Newrest Group.
By acquiring 100% of EIH Flight Services Ltd, a subsidiary of EIH Limited (Oberoi), Newrest will provide its services from Mauritius, a market driven by the tourism sector that attracts the world’s largest airlines. With this acquisition, the group continues to support its clients in their development in Africa and more widely in the Indian Ocean with a presence in 9 countries in this geographical area (Morocco, Liberia, Guinea Conakry, Ghana, Zambia, South Africa, Uganda, Mauritius, Reunion). EIH Flight Services Limited, a subsidiary of the Indian Oberoi Group, has been present in Mauritius since 2007 at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
Since 1st January 2023, a new management team has been mobilized to implement the Newrest Group standards and procedures.
