Royal Phnom Penh Hospital

Exciting news: Newrest has just started operations in Phnom Penh Royal Hospital, a reference when it comes to health services in Cambodia. Newrest is proud to work with this prestigious hospital and to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to its inpatients, employees and visitors, from Monday to Sunday.

This hospital belongs to the well-known Bangkok Hospital Group, gathering 40 hospitals, ranked as “One of The Best Specialized Hospital Asia Pacific 2024” by Newseek & Statista.

Newrest offers multiple catering services for all guests at the hospital

Every meal is cooked on site for the satisfaction of all guests:

  • Extended hospital stay for inpatients: Newrest provides meals for around 60 inpatients per day who are hospitalized for an extended period, such as those in maternity, surgical medicine, or intensive care units. Consequently, our teams prepare therapeutic meals that suit individual needs and various allergies.

Each inpatient can choose from 4 different menus: Asian, Khmer, Chinese or Western. Newrest can adjust them according to the doctor’s requests or the specific disease. Then, Newrest’s service team organizes the delivery to the inpatient room.

In each room, patients and visitors can find a menu containing all the dishes that are available in a cafeteria as well.

Newrest also prepares milk for newborns and blended meals for inpatients.

All the meals served for inpatients are supervised by Newrest’s dietitians.

  • Inpatients staying in VIP rooms: Newrest offers an enhanced dining experience with meals presented on elegant tableware.
  • Short stay outpatients: the patients who are staying for a short time can come to the cafeteria, partially subsidized by the Hospital with vouchers.
  • Doctors lounge: this is a quiet space reserved for doctors with a buffet. They also can order normal or vegan menus, or “A la carte” menu. Every day, about 30 breakfasts and 30 lunches are served in the doctors lounge.
  • Cafeteria for all guests: the cafeteria is a restaurant area with a self-service queue, accessible by all. Patients, visitors, staff and doctors can eat there. The staff can either choose an “A la carte” fixed menu or use the self-service area where dishes change every day. On average, the cafeteria serves 200 meals a day.

The digital at the heart of the hospital

Connect’eat, the digital solution developed internally by Newrest, has been deployed in the hospital to allow people to give their feedback on the food and services on site.

So far, the feedbacks from inpatients are very positive with a score of 4.67/5 for meal quality and 4.57/5 for service quality!

Soon, it will be possible to order online from the Order’eat module and choose products from the cafeteria menu, for delivery on wards or pick up at the cafeteria.

The goal of these applications is to collaborate with Royal Phnom Penh Hospital to provide the best quality and service for the patients. Newrest provides tailored digital solutions to best meet the needs of its clients.

Newrest is also in the process of opening a Nham Mini Mart right next to the Nham cafeteria.
