Cabinda platform remote site

Present in strategic regions such as Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Latin America, Newrest is an expert in remote site management. In 2024, the group has reached a major milestone in the energy and mining sectors through strategic acquisitions and successful global expansion.

Proven expertise in remote sites located in challenging environments

Newrest, a specialist in solutions adapted to complex environments, ensures optimal management of remote sites. These facilities meet the daily needs of employees working in hard-to-reach sites, such as mines or offshore platforms.

The group offers essential services such as accommodation, catering, maintenance, and leisure management for teams working in these areas.

Newrest is actively committed to the well-being of employees, safety, and the quality of its services. The group has distinguished itself by providing services specifically adapted to the needs of its partners, even in the most isolated regions.

Global growth

The acquisition of Compass Group’s activities in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico was a decisive step for Newrest in 2024. By integrating 15,000 new employees and adding more than 600 million euros to its annual turnover, the company has consolidated its presence in the mining sector in Latin America.

Newrest does not focus solely on South America. The group also continues to grow in high-potential markets such as Guyana, Zambia, and Uganda, while exploring new opportunities in Namibia and Suriname.

Strategic partnerships with global leaders

The group’s collaborations with global leaders in mining demonstrate Newrest’s reliability and expertise. Among these are Anglo American and the flagship projects of Quellaveco in Peru and Chagres in Chile.

In the oil and gas sector, major players such as ExxonMobil, Chevron, TotalEnergies, and SBM trust Newrest to manage their most complex and isolated projects. This is the case with Chevron’s vast offshore field in Cabinda, one of the largest in Africa.

Newrest aims for excellence in remote site management. Olivier Sadran, President of Newrest, emphasizes that “Our expertise in remote site management allows us to meet the most demanding challenges while ensuring high standards of quality and safety. We are proud of the progress made and excited to collaborate on new ambitious projects in 2025.
