Las Bambas: The "Aprende program" is a success!

Newrest Peru celebrates the success of the “Aprende” program, a training and development initiative implemented in the Las Bambas operation.

“Aprende”, a training program designed for kitchen staff

This program, designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff, lasted two and a half months, from September 1 to November 15, 2024.

The program benefited from the active participation of collaborators from different areas, who were trained on key topics such as cooking techniques, hygiene and safety, team management, menu development, and leadership.

Specialized modules by role

The training was divided into specialized modules according to the different roles in the kitchen, ensuring comprehensive training aligned with Newrest’s quality and safety standards.

Among the main successes achieved, we can highlight:

Great interest and enthusiasm of the staff during the workshops
Strengthening of teamwork and communication
An increase in the staff participation rate
Leaders’ awareness of the importance of providing growth opportunities to collaborators
Better management of kitchen processes, aligned with Newrest’s standards

A positive impact on operations

Additionally, the program allowed the identification of talents and the strengthening of a continuous learning culture, generating a positive impact on operations and the work environment.

In the future, it is planned to continue promoting these initiatives to consolidate growth and operational excellence in all areas.
