A new contract with Anglo American Chagres melting site in Chile

Newrest Chile and Anglo American signed a new contract

The Newrest Chile teams are extremely proud and honored to announce the signing of a new multi-year contract with Anglo American, one of the world’s leading mining companies, on their historic melting “Fundicion Chagres” site, with more than 100 years operating.

This new contract is testament to the first-rate performance of our operations teams in Chile and our overall expertise on major sites in the Energy & Mining sectors around the world.

Newrest’s services on the melting site

Newrest’s focus for Chagres will be on ensuring the safety of operations (by providing protection equipment for example), the quality of our services and the satisfaction of our 500+ on-site guests as well as continue supporting the development of the local content.

Newrest Chile renewed all the spaces with a new branding, and delivers lunchboxes and 3 meals per day to the workers on site. The group is also in charge of several services of facility management such as housekeeping, cleaning, maintenance (plumbing, electricity, carpentry, painting, etc.). Plus, every month, animations are organized for the people present on the melting site (for example, on Chile National Day).
