The Newrest team takes part in Mandela Day

Celebrated each year on 18^th July, Mandela Day is an global celebration in honour of the life and legacy of Nelson Mandela. On this day, people are encouraged to dedicate 67 minutes of their time to make a positive impact on others.

Newrest Johannesburg has participated in this initiative by donating food hampers to the Ubuhle Bezwe Child Care Centre. Newrest team also donated clothing to the centre.

The Ubuhle Bezwe childcare centre is an organisation that cares for 60 orphans in Tembisa, a township in the north-east of South Africa.

The group travelled to the centre by minibus taxi, an excellent way of discovering more about the country. 

In addition, a team has visited the Golden Steps school to offer training courses to children with disabilities, wishing to become chefs.

Congratulations to Newrest South Africa for bringing smiles to the faces of so many children.
