Athlete Perrine Laffont on her skis

Perrine Laffont, a true reference in mogul skiing, has amassed numerous titles and successes. But beyond her performances, it is also the story of a determined woman, who carved her own path to the very top.

A childhood shaped in the Pyrenees

Born on October 28, 1998 in Lavelanet, Ariège, Perrine grew up in the Pyrenees, an environment perfectly suited to skiing.

From an early age, mogul skiing was part of her everyday life: her father is a ski instructor, and her mother is the president of the Boss Club des Monts d’Olmes. She was exposed to sports in all their forms early on, but skiing quickly became her natural path.

Up until the age of 16, she followed high-level sports programs, particularly in ski-study sections, continuing a traditional academic education from middle school through high school, where she obtained her scientific baccalaureate.

This dual commitment to academics and sport, allowed her to balance her studies with her passion for skiing from a very young age.

The rise of a Champion

Perrine made her international debut at the Sochi Games in 2014, when she was only 15 years old.

The following season, she won her first World Cup victories (2015-2016). Since then, competitions and titles have followed one another, on both the national and international stage.

At only 19 years old, she delivered a historic performance at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics in South Korea, becoming the first French woman to win the gold medal in moguls.

To date, she is the most successful skier in her discipline:

  • 1 Olympic Champion title
  • 6 World Champion titles
  • 67 World Cup podiums, including 33 victories
  • 9 Crystal Globes.

Perrine Laffont, at the heart of French expectations

After winning her sixth World Championship title in mogul skiing in Switzerland last March, Perrine is now focusing on her preparation for the 2026 Games in Milan.

Backed by an exceptional career and years of experience at the highest level, Perrine is approaching this new chapter with determination and ambition. Widely regarded as one of the leading figures in French mogul skiing, she carries the responsibility of representing and shaping the future of the discipline in France.
