At the Heart of Performance: An Inspiring Meeting with Perrine Laffont
It is with great pride that Newrest welcomed, on Monday March 23rd, Perrine Laffont to its Toulouse headquarters. An exceptional athlete, Perrine has just written a new chapter in her brilliant career by claiming the bronze medal at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympic Games. Her visit to headquarters was an opportunity for a warm moment of sharing, full of emotion and inspiration for all employees.
Meeting the Team
From the moment she arrived, Perrine offered all headquarter employees an authentic and warm moment of connection. With great sincerity, she highlighted the key stages of her journey, touching on both her successes and the obstacles she had to overcome. She notably looked back on her beginnings in mogul skiing, which she initially practiced for fun before ambition took over and a true vocation emerged. It was at just 15 years old that Perrine first dreamed of representing France at the 2014 Sochi Olympic Games, already with the ambition of winning an Olympic medal. Since then, her list of achievements has continued to grow: world champion, World Cup winner, and now Olympic medalist — a trajectory as demanding as it is inspiring for all those who listened to her that morning.
A Rich and Varied Q&A Session
The morning continued with a question-and-answer session. The topics covered were numerous and varied, reflecting the curiosity and enthusiasm of the employees: managing pressure and stress in competition, relations with journalists and the media, nutrition and sleep in the service of performance, and mental techniques for maintaining focus in decisive moments. Perrine answered each question with spontaneity and generosity, sharing valuable advice applicable well beyond the world of sport.
Memorable Exchanges and Gifts
The morning concluded on a particularly moving note. Perrine wished to leave a tangible memory of her visit by gifting the entire headquarters a pair of her signed competition skis. A powerful gesture which, beyond the existing partnership, demonstrates a sincere desire to strengthen and sustain this relationship. On our side, we also wanted to make this visit equally memorable for Perrine. We presented her with a framed cover of the newspaper L’Équipe featuring her on the front page, on the back of which many employees took the time to write her personalized messages expressing their admiration and encouragement. A gift full of emotion that visibly touched the athlete.
We thank Perrine Laffont for this exceptional moment shared with the Newrest teams and wish her all the best for the rest of her career.
