Newrest Netherlands opened its new production unit in Amsterdam

In a difficult context, Newrest Netherlands teams just opened a new Catering production unit at the Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Newrest, which now has 10,000 sqm of production and storage space at this airport, plans to use this new tool without delay to provide Inflight Catering, Buy on Board and Duty Free services.

The new unit is located only 800m far from the Airport Runway. This situation will facilitate logistics and promote close proximity to the Group’s client companies.

Halal and ISO 9001-2015 certified, the Amsterdam unit has two separate production flows for the preparation of Halal and non-Halal food.

The unit will supply more than 10,000 meals per day to 13 main customers and has the latest technologies in automated management, security and production, including Cobots (Collaborative Robots).
