Newrest in Madagascar makes donation to the Protection of Civilians in Tamatave

On June 3, 2016, Ambatovy and Newrest inaugurated the new PoC site in Tamatave. Ambatovy built some of the buildings and provided vehicles and materials to the Malagasy army. For Newrest’s part, we provided a camp to house the soldiers.
The President of the Republic of Madagascar, Hery Rajaonarimampianina, took part in the day’s event, and was given a tour of Newrest’s donated facility by Alexandre Lelièvre, the General Director of Newrest in Madagascar.
Since November 2012, Newrest Remote Site has managed the accommodation and catering services for Ambatovy, a cobalt and nickel refinery in Madagascar. Every day, 6000 meals are served at the various sites.
