Joëlette Course Inclusion

Roxane, an inspiring person with a strength of spirit, has set herself the challenge of racing the OCC, a 55km race, in her Joëlette.

What exactly is the OCC?

The Orsières-Champex-Chamonix trail, or OCC, is the UTMB World Series final in the 50km category. It takes place in the Swiss Valais and the Entremont valley. This race is perfect for lovers of intermediate trail distances.

This average distance does not mean an average challenge. It’s a real adventure that awaits the 1,200 runners taking part in the OCC. They’ll be confronted with extreme conditions in high mountain, and they’ll have to face a time restriction of 14 hours 30 to reach the finish line.

Here is the route in detail

Joëlette Course Inclusion

A race based on human and sporting values

In this race, where the 30 runners will carry Roxane on her joëlette in relay, the key word is safety, but it is above all the sharing of common values, such as inclusion and team spirit, that will enable them to achieve their goal.

Newrest is sponsoring this adventure to make the race possible, and to help the team achieve its goal of becoming a finisher!

Inclusion is a fundamental value for Cap Grand Air, which wants to demonstrate that it is possible for people with disabilities to challenge themselves and take part in sporting challenges such as the OCC, thanks to their desire and willingness. This is also true for Newrest, where inclusion is a major pillar of its recruitment approach, especially through the Mosaïque program for the employment and retention of disabled employees.
