Newrest Hellas wins a Safety Award for the High Performance of its People

The entire team of Newrest Hellas is particularly proud of the honorary award received by its member at the “Aviation Safety Awards 2023”, organized by Athens International Airport on Thursday, 21^st of December, at the Sofitel Athens.

At this event, which includes the annual report in safety procedures for all the involved agencies that operate daily on the AIA ramp, Stamatis Grammatikos, a member of the Operation Department of Newrest Hellas, stood out among the awardees for his exceptional performance.

A well deserve award

This distinction comes as a culmination of the systematic effort that Newrest puts into the development of its people, so that the company being able to remain competitive and continue seamlessly its development.
With targeted educational activities of high added value, it supports the professional development and training of its employees, aiming at the continuous enrichment of their knowledge and the improvement of their technical abilities and skills. In this context, based on the priority that the Group has set to enhance a ramp safety culture, it organizes twice a year, “Airside Safety, Humans Factors & SMS” training seminars, for old and new employees. The aim of these seminars is to fully train all personnel who move on the airport ramp and are involved in the ground services, in the application of international aviation laws and regulations, as well as safe work and operation practices.
